Feb Fast Fructose Style

So I've recently come across this blog while reading twitter. I follow Megan Gale as I think she is so beautiful and I like the fact that she dates younger men. She tweeted that she had downloaded the ebook and I thought I'd have a look.

I have a keen interest in nutrition and wellness. It is an integral part of my job and frankly I just love food. I also have an auto immune disease and believe that the way you feel and your well being is firmly linked to your diet.

So I purchased both the ebook and the ecookbook while they were on sale. I sort of skim read them but got serious when I flew back to work and was posed a challenge by Conners our resident Geo. After sprouting facts at her one afternoon Conners challenged me to FebFast Fructose Style. This has stemmed from the fact that we both have continuous digestive upsets and basically live on Buscopan while we're away. I always get number three's and generally feel like absolute crap. Luckily I haven't put on any of the 21kg that I've lost over the last 14 months.

So the challenge is whoever breaks and eats ffructose has to buy the other person a sixer of their choice, using the honor system while we're on RnR. Conners has already had a slip up with some noodles but I'm not sure that noodles are fructose, i think the sugar in them is glucose which is acceptable.

So we're not following the book exactly, gone straight into week 3, cold turks on the sugar. It day three now and today I feel like absolute rubbish. Lethargic, headache, still Miss Happy Pants but a bit flat. I don't think i would take much for my Happy Pants to get changed into Cranky Pants either.

Been necking Kokomo Coconut Water, it tasted like arse at first but I'm used to it now so it tastes ok. And it really does help with sugar cravings.

The hardest part so far (except for how I've been feeling today) has been trying to figure out what is the sugar used in carbohydrates like potato, pasta, bread ect. As it's only fructose the we're cutting out not glucose or any other sugar. The key for my success in this change to my diet is the fact that I can still eat carbs just not high fructose foods. I've been looking for literature that details which type of sugar is contained within each carbohydrate based food but so far haven't come up with much. If anyone know any good sites can they please let me know?

Ok and lastly here's the only picture I have of Oz Day, I'm there with gang leader X.
